Since 1977, Bill has been a key player in the discretionary investment management industry. With a keen interest in the economy and security analysis he began his journey through education, obtaining a Bachelor of Commerce and becoming a CFA charterholder. Bill held senior roles in the Canadian trust industry, where he was responsible for building and overseeing two institution’s differing discretionary investment management services.

Noticing a gap in the mass affluent space he set out to start a boutique investment firm, and in 1997 founded Hybridge Investment Management, with a focus on offering the ownership of individual securities rather than pooled products, to fulfil clients’ unique investment goals. Through his previous experience, he identified the need for an investment service with an emphasis on tax efficiency, liquidity and full transparency.

Hybridge has been a labour of love, and he is grateful to share it with a solid team, which includes his son, as well as with the clients he’s had the privileged of serving, many for decades. When not tracking the latest economic and financial trends he can be found gardening, hiking or travelling. He is an avid Canucks fan, and has hopes he’ll see a cup in his day.
