For over 40 years, Mark has provided investment management services to the affluent marketplace, structuring portfolios of stocks and bonds for clients who want a conservative approach to managing their money. For his first 19 years Mark worked at a large Canadian trust company managing funds for high net-worth clients much of which was held in family trusts where funds passed from one generation to the next. Here he learned the most reliable way to ensure funds passed intact was to invest in blue-chip securities that will prosper in good times but will survive more challenging times that occur from time to time.

Subsequently, Mark spent a further seven years working as an investment manager in the private client group of two Canadian banks before joining Hybridge Investment Management in 2002. He was attracted to Hybridge as the principal owner held a shared belief that investing in blue-chip equities provides one of best long-term returns above inflation without incurring the risk inherent in more speculative securities.

Over the years, Mark has found balance in his life through participation in club curling, obtaining a private pilots license and pursuing competitive rowing. Family life is now Mark’s priority where his time out of the office is spent supporting his daughter’s pursuit of a higher education.  Mark obtained his education in England and holds a B.A (Hons) in Business Studies and is a CFA Charterholder.
